Internships

Because of the broad scope of programs and services at Outreach, we are able to offer both undergraduate and graduate level internships for a wide variety of disciplines. The staff who supervise these programs have spent a great deal of time designing the internships so that there are clear learning objectives and excellent opportunities to gain skills and experience. An internship at one of our sites gives students a chance to put the principles that they are learning into practice in a context that gives them exposure to the needs of children and families from a broad range of social and economic conditions as well as from a variety of racial and cultural heritages. Each opportunity also gives students exposure to the overall workings of a Christian, community-based, social service ministry.

Inquiries from undergraduate students are welcome throughout the year for placement during the fall, spring or summer semesters.

Many of the graduate clinical internships at Outreach run from mid-July through May and students are encouraged to apply in the months of January and February.
